Work Sites Requiring a Joint Work Site Health and Safety Committee
Under the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, the Minister may order a work site to establish a Joint Work Site Health and Safety Committee (JWSHSC). The designation of work sites is by Ministerial Order. A designated work site must operate its JWSHSC in compliance with the provisions in Part 13 of the OHS Code.
The following work sites are required to have a JWSHSC by Ministerial Order under Section 31 of the Act.

Occupational Health and Safety Council
The OHS Council is an administrative body, which operates arms length from government. The Council advises the Minister on OHS matters and serves as an appeal body for orders issued by Occupational Health and Safety.
