Appealing Workplace Health & Safety Orders

As set out in Sections 6, 7, 16, 17, 35 and 37 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Council is empowered to hear appeals of orders that have been issued by officers of Alberta Employment a Immigration. Appeals can involve orders that have been issued under the Act, licenses, permits or certificates that have been cancelled and matters of worker dismissal or discipline.

The Council is neutral in all proceedings. While the Council makes information available about its proceedings, it does not assist any party in a proceeding. Find out more on the appeal procedure.
