North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is an annual event recognized across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Locally, it is sponsored by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering in partnership with Alberta Employment and Immigration.

The goal of NAOSH Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety, health and the environment on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace.

NAOSH Week 2012 will be held from May 6 to 12. Check out NAOSH to assist you with your planning.

Occupational Health and Safety Council

The OHS Council is an administrative body, which operates arms length from government. The Council advises the Minister on OHS matters and serves as an appeal body for orders issued by Occupational Health and Safety.
