Mediation Services Fee Schedule

MEDIATION APPOINTMENT FEE

Application/administration fee (Section 64, 65 or 97 of the Labour Relations Code (Code); Section 7 of the Police Officers Collective Bargaining Act and non-Code referrals).

$100 (plus GST).
Fee is non-refundable and is shared equally by the parties. Applicant should submit 1/2 of the fee with the application. The other party will be invoiced when the appointment is made.

 

MEDIATION FEE

First two (2) days of mediation.

Complimentary (excludes non-Code referrals). A day is defined as one calendar day.

Third and subsequent days of mediation.

$150 (plus GST) per hour, to a maximum of $1800 (plus GST) per day. There shall be a four-hour minimum per day. Fees are to be shared equally by both parties.

Expenses.

Beginning on the third day, travel, accommodation and expenses will be as per Government of Alberta subsistence and travel rates. These expenses will be shared equally by both parties.

 

ARBITRATION APPOINTMENTS FEE

Application/administration fee for Rights Arbitration appointment (Chairperson or Nominee) under the Labour Relations Code.

$100 (plus GST).
Fee is non-refundable and is to be shared equally by both parties. Applicant should submit 1/2 of the fee with their request. The other party will be invoiced if an appointment is made.

Payment of fees can be made by cheque, money order or credit card. Cheques and money orders should be made payable to the Minister of Finance.
