For Educational Institutions
Do you need help determining whether a prospective student meets your entrance/admission requirements? Do you need to evaluate an internationally-trained applicant’s educational credentials for admission?
IQAS can help your institution make well informed, researched decisions when admitting foreign students into your programs.
- IQAS assessment certificates simplify the admission process for accepting international students who have foreign educational credentials by providing clear, accurate and reliable assessment certificates.
- Assessment certificates are easy to read and understand. View samples. IQAS recently updated the look of the applications for, assessments and supporting materials for consistent layout and colour – the previous versions remain valid.
- IQAS can issue assessment certificates directly to educational institutions and their registrar’s offices.
IQAS provides an advisory service to educational institutions by evaluating internationally educated students and issuing them an assessment certificate. This certificate provides basic information on the applicant’s education as well as specific courses on levels of achievement for identified pre-requisite courses for entrance requirements and transfer of credits.
International Education Guides
IQAS has developed the International Education Guides (IEGs) as a resource for educational institutions, employers and professional licensing bodies. These guides are country specific and help facilitate and streamline the decisions that organizations make regarding the recognition of international credentials. For more information on the IEGs or to order your copies, contact the IQAS office at 780-427-2655.
Workshops
In addition to the IEGs, IQAS provides informative full day workshops on foreign credential assessment methodology for those who work in the field. These workshops provide participants with instruction on the assessment process as well as a manual with exercises. These are two types of workshops: assessment methodology and country specific. The assessment methodology workshop provides an introduction and overview of how to evaluate foreign educational credentials. The country specific workshop provides an in depth look at the historical background, education system, and grading system.
