Health Career Centres

Preparing you for a health career in Alberta

If you are an internationally educated health professional you can access the resources you need to find work in your chosen field.

Health Career Centres in Edmonton and Calgary offer a range of services to help doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health professionals who received their training outside of Canada navigate the registration and licensing processes.

Services are provided at no cost, and include advice and support through the registration and licensing processes; one-on-one employment and career coaching; occupation-specific health care seminars; study groups to help internationally educated health professionals prepare for licensing and accreditation exams; practice exams; referrals to bridging and language-training programs; and support during employment. You also have access to text books and resource materials on health care occupations.
