Occupational, Integrated and Workplace Training

Occupationally focused training that may be integrated with applied academics and general employability skills. All programs must teach skills that are in demand by local employers and provide evidence that the graduates of the programs will find work in occupations related to their training. Program includes classroom-based and workplace-based training.

Occupational Training

Classroom-based training that is occupation-specific and focused on helping clients acquire the job specific skills needed to improve their employment status.

Integrated Training

Skill-based training that combines job-related skills, work experience, employability and/or essential skills, and
academic related and/or English as a Second language training.

Workplace Training

Establishes partnerships with employers to hire and train clients and provides an alternative to classroom-based training. At program completion, employees are expected to continue working with the employer
