Fox Creek company sentenced to pay $375,000 for fatalities

Alstar Oilfield Contractors Ltd. penalty to fund fire department and safety training

A northwest Alberta company has been sentenced to pay $375,000 as a result of a June 30, 2006, Fox Creek incident where two workers were fatally injured. The two workers were welding a container shut when an explosion was caused by a leaking propane cylinder inside.
