Employment, Training and Career Services in CalgaryCommunity and Business Services support the delivery of career services, employment services, self-employment programs, skills training and on the job training programs in the Calgary region. This includes Airdrie, Cochrane, Banff, Canmore, High River and Okotoks. Programs are offered through an extensive network of community organizations, non-profit agencies, colleges, private schools, businesses and employer organizations.

Community labour market needs are identified through consultations with Albertans, and with community and business organizations. AE&I in Calgary researches the economic and labour market conditions of Calgary and area on a quarterly basis. Summary reports can be found under Calgary & Area Labour Market Quarterly & Annual Reports.
AE&I in Calgary has completed a review of career and employment programs of services for immigrants in Calgary to determine whether Labour Market needs and the needs of immigrants are being met. The research report includes a statistical and literature review, an inventory of career and employment programs, interviews with funders and immigrant serving agencies and a forum to review recommendations.
Contracting with AE&I in CalgaryContracting opportunities and Requests for Proposals are advertised on Alberta Purchasing Connection, the electronic tendering service used by Alberta Employment and Immigration.
